FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The questions nonprofits, foundations, and rural hospitals ask us most often: about AI, security, and what a Discovery Sprint actually looks like.

We already have an MSP, do we need another partner?

We complement, we don’t replace. Many of our clients keep their existing provider for day-to-day support. We add the strategic depth (AI deployment, security hardening, cloud architecture, and roadmap planning) that most generalist MSPs don’t specialize in. The honest test: does your current MSP have an AI methodology? Can they deploy Microsoft 365 Copilot with governance from day one?

We can’t afford this right now.

We design engagements around nonprofit and hospital budgets. We start with what you have; there’s usually significant untapped value in your existing Microsoft licenses. AI automation pays for itself: if an agent saves 10 hours of staff time per week, the ROI case writes itself. We phase work so you see results before committing to more.

We’re too small for AI.

AI scales down. Copilot Chat is free with most Microsoft 365 licenses. A single agent handling intake forms or appointment scheduling can save hundreds of hours per year. The organizations most likely to benefit from AI are the lean teams where every hour of staff time matters. We right-size everything.

We tried something like this before and it didn’t work.

That’s more common than you’d think. Usually the gap was follow-through: a project gets delivered but nobody maintains it. Our 90-day AI methodology proves value in 30 days before committing to anything larger. Documentation, training, governance, and ongoing managed intelligence so improvements stick.

Our board won’t approve a big technology spend.

Boards are asking about AI. We help you build the business case (risk reduction, compliance posture, operational efficiency, mission protection, and AI governance) in language the board can act on. Most engagements start with a two-week Discovery Sprint that gives leadership the data they need to decide. Board-ready materials are included.

Will this disrupt our staff?

We phase every engagement to minimize disruption. Changes are tested before they’re rolled out broadly, and we communicate with your team at every step. Copilot is designed to work within the apps staff already use (Word, Outlook, Teams). Our goal is to make things work better, not create a support avalanche.

Our staff are already using ChatGPT, isn’t that enough?

That’s a risk, not a solution. When staff use ungoverned AI tools, organizational data flows outside your control: no data protection, no audit trail, no integration with your systems. We solve that by deploying governed AI within Microsoft’s ecosystem (Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Microsoft Agent 365) with identity controls, data boundaries, and organizational policies. Your staff get the productivity gains; your organization gets the governance.

We’re worried about AI and data privacy.

So are we; that’s why governance comes first. Every Copilot and agent deployment includes identity controls, data boundaries, sensitivity labels, and audit trails. We use Microsoft’s governed AI platform, not shadow tools. And we deploy responsible-AI frameworks built specifically for organizations handling donor, patient, and constituent data.

Want to talk?

Start with a two-week Discovery Sprint: we’ll map your highest-impact AI use cases, assess your governance readiness, and build a 90-day roadmap. No commitment beyond insight.
