Build beyond the suite

Build what Microsoft 365 alone cannot.

When the work calls for a custom application, public digital experience, integration, data service, or AI-enabled product, Centered Networks brings Azure architecture, application engineering, security, and Microsoft Foundry into the same operating model.

What we build

Six kinds of work, one engineering practice

Cloud-native applications

Purpose-built web and business applications on Microsoft Azure.

AI-enabled experiences

Grounded generative AI, search, assistants, and intelligent user experiences built around trusted source material and appropriate controls.

Integrations and APIs

Connect Microsoft 365, line-of-business systems, data platforms, and external services.

Application modernization

Move legacy workloads toward maintainable cloud architecture, modern identity, better observability, and more resilient operations.

Data and AI services

Use Azure and Microsoft Foundry where the solution needs models, retrieval, orchestration, custom AI, or services beyond out-of-the-box Microsoft 365 capabilities.

Microsoft Customer Story

Trust for the National Mall

Centered Networks built the National Mall Gateway on Microsoft Azure for the Trust for the National Mall—a digital learning experience connected to America’s 250th anniversary.

The project demonstrates the part of Centered Networks that a traditional MSP rarely has: the ability to move from cloud operations into application engineering and responsible AI without handing the work to an unrelated development firm.

Engineering principles

The application is only one part of the system.

Every build is designed around the conditions it will live in—not just the features it ships with. That makes the transition from “project” to “production system” much cleaner.

  • Identity and access
  • Secure architecture
  • Data boundaries
  • Observability
  • Deployment and change control
  • Resilience and recovery
  • Performance
  • Cost governance
  • Responsible AI
  • Ongoing operations

Azure + Managed Intelligence

Custom systems should not become unmanaged islands.

A new application can introduce its own identities, data stores, secrets, AI consumption, security events, and operating requirements. Centered Networks connects Azure and custom applications back into the same Managed Intelligence disciplines used across Microsoft 365 and agents: governance, security, monitoring, data, cost, lifecycle, and business value.

The operating model is the difference between a launch and a liability. See how the disciplines fit together in Managed Intelligence.

When Azure is the right answer

Five situations where the suite is not enough.

You need a public or customer-facing digital experience

Microsoft 365 is not the presentation layer for the use case.

You need custom application logic

The workflow exceeds what should reasonably be built as low-code automation.

You need grounded or custom AI

The solution needs a defined knowledge base, model and orchestration choices, evaluation, and application-specific controls.

You need to connect systems

The value depends on reliable integration rather than another standalone interface.

You need cloud architecture reviewed

Use an Azure Well-Architected Review to address reliability, security, operations, or cost before expanding the workload.

Build the system—and the operating model behind it.

The 90-Day AI Roadmap scopes the application, the architecture, and the operating disciplines it will need—before the first sprint.
